    Received my 46" Coby TV in April, 2013. It has a one year warranty. In August, 2013, when we turned the TV on, there was no picture, no sound, not even snow, nothing! I have called Coby at the # they put on the warranty. It directs you to the website. I have e-mailed technical support and customer service several times. No response.     I have been trying to contact customer support at Coby Electronics for months, now the phone number will only direct me to their website and the customer support will not respond to any of my emails. I had a TV that had to be returned because the parts were no longer available for repair.     I bought a Colby TFV4025 40 inch tv from Brandsmart with a 3yr extended waranty and a wall mount on 4/6/13 it stoped working 6/12/13 would not power on but had the blue light on.     I purchased my Coby 55" TV at the end of January 2013. On April 16th it wouldn't power up. On April 18th I spoke to a supervisor in the Savannah facility and was told that a new TV would be sent out and to use the box to package my old TV in and return it using the return label.     Our Coby TV worked for about 1 year. We bought it through Fry's Electronics. No, we didn't buy the expensive extended warranty. Now the TV has to be turned on with the remote several times (upwards of 25) before it will finally stay on. When you buy a TV it should last more than a year. Why are we as a nation buying JUNK from foreign countries and reselling it here in the US. My US made TVs still play after 10 years.     Bought this tv post flood due to price. What a waste of money. Never had a tv of any brand break this quickly. Save your money and buy a better brand. Don't havethe cash to run out and buy a new one but could have bought a good quality tv with what this will now cost me.     As with most of the issues reported, I too now have a Coby 32" Flat TV as a fancy paper weight. It's been used for 6 monthsand it no longer turns on by remote or hand- No picture. The light is nice and all, but when we save to spurdge on a TV, it seems cruel to now no longer even have it functioning- it's wrong... 100% cruel & thoughtless.     NOOOO COBY!!!!!! DITTO- same issues with our 'great deal' 32" FLAT TV.... Hopefully no one else will waste their money on this brand!!!     Purchased Colby TV from Kmart. TV died 90 days after purchase. Made a popping sound and would not turn on. I contacted Coby service repair and have been getting the run around for 8 weeks. Initially told me they would send me a . That never happened. Each time I would call I would be placed on hold for a least 20 minutes. Then they decided to send me a part instead of the replacement.     Bought the Coby TV from PC Richards, it didn't work right from day 1, the sound wouldn't change, stuck on low and the remote wouldn't work, then PC Richards didn't want to return the money saying they didn't have $200 in the register, really? big store like that and no money in the register?     I live in Canada and bought one Coby TV on line through Tiger Direct. After 3 months picture was gone. I called the repair center in Savanah GA, and they told me to ship it for repairs. I send it to them and never ever heard back from them. When I call the same number they will ask all sorts of questions including tracking number etc. but no response. I do not know what to do next.     I bought a coby 40 in. flat screen, four months later the computer board needed replacing. My extended warranty company recommended I take it back to electronic express to trade it for a new one. Four months later the new one is doing the exact same thing...and get this,now the warranty company says they won't replace the new one because when I got the new one my warranty was no longer in effect because they replaced the old one instead of fixing it.     I purchased a Coby 26" LCD TV at the Veterans Canteen Gift Shop on January 7, 2011. On September 3, 2011, the TV made a "pop" noise, and quit working. I searched on the internet for Coby, and discovered a complaint site where every consumer who has bought a Coby TV has the same defect; a "pop" sound and the TV quits working.     It appears that every consumer who has purchased a Coby TV has the same problem: after a few months, the TV makes a "pop" sound, and then quits working. It is as if Coby has deliberately put a defect in their TVs, and refuses to admit to or acknowledge the problem, will not honor warranties or fix the TVs.     Four issues during 13 months since purchase. 1)Lost remote and no help from Coby.com to purchase direct or find replacement seller. 2)Agree with other review about slow start up at the blue "Coby" screen - my husband complained about it every day. 3)Volume when using the built-in DVD player was lousy.     When we bought the Coby Tv, we were pleased with the price but after turning it on we noticed the the blue screen with the word COBY appeared for a good 10 seconds before a channel came on. It is slow to change channels,the sound continues to go up after you have stopped increasing the sound & the channel numbers in the upper right hand corner is so little and so light you never know what channel you are on.     I bought a LCD flat screen TV from RA-LIN discount store in Syracuse, NY. It failed after about 5 months. I called several repair shops to get it repaired. All of them laughed at me for asking. Purchased a 22" TV/LED combo model #TFTLCDTV, and after 1 1/2 years I smelled electronic burning. I called their customer service and they told me they wouldn't repair or replace it. I called a local TV repair place and they said it wasn't worth repairing it. I am a senior and cannot afford a new one. What happened to quality and honesty?

bought a 46' coby flat screen 2 yrs ago October from HH Gregg - no pitcure when called to inquire about problem and phone number to get this issue fixed, the HH Gregg salesperson offered to sell me a new t.v. WOW - I guess people think tv should only last a couple of years. Very dissapointed with both COBY and HH Gregg - will not buy/shop from either of them any longer.

Bought a Coby tv/dvd in January and it lasted about a month. We took it back to the NEX but since we were just over the line they told us to send it back to the Company b/c the customer would get better service than they could. That was a lie. We returned it just as they asked by UPS two months ago and were never advised that they even received it. Now when we call all we get are contractors who know nothing. The phone number for a Coby Rep rings out or voice mail so they are unreachable. Anyone had success with returns. They told us the model we bought is discontinued but that they would send us a tv and separate dvd. Empty promise??

this product is a real waste of money. we bought a 23" led tv and the screen had problems in just 2 weeks. the technicians were rude and will really go through alot to make it seem YOU broke the product. for the price they are offering their products, you are probably better off with sonething else.

I thought the 39" was made by Samsung un39eh5003 sold under the name Colby. Now after reading these reviews I don't care to experiment with it as this company sounds pretty unscrupulous after reading these reviews. anyone have a thought on this?

Coby is the biggest piece of shit. Wasted $300 on a black box with a little blue light on it. It only took 2 days for it to stop working.

I bought this tv last yr from Toysrus and after the purchase the manager said the tv was a joke. I wish I had listened and Im really glad I didn't buy two of them as I had originally planned.At least l almost got a full year of usage.I'm bought to do my research now on my next purchase cause l don't have money to throw down the drain.

My grandfather bought a 9" Coby telivision for me, and, just like almost everyone else who posted a review on this blog and so many others, 3 months later I heard a loud "pop" sound and the television just stopped working. No picture no sound. All I have is a 100$ nightlight. Take our word for it, folks. DO NOT BY COBY TELEVISIONS!!! OR ANYTHING ELSE THAT COBY HAS MADE FOR THAT MATTER!!! You have been warned.

A million thanks to all of you reviewers!! I was going to buy a Coby TV online, tonight. I had a feeling this was a bad move, so I listened to my "gut" and checked the reviews. It's 100% bad, horrible quality and a waste of money. I now have $300 that I would have spent on a 40" piece of trash. Too good to be true***

Wow!? I think everybody on this forum has the same problem, as do I, with the 32" coby tv! What a joke right?? I purchased this tv about 9 months ago from frys electronics in las Vegas Nevada, and let me tell you... You think that the COBY customer service is a joke! SO IS FRYS!! On sale, this piece of shit was 360.00$ after tax (est.) and right off the bat, the remote (infer red) sensor is faulty as all hell, the frys customer rep told me to purchase a hundred dollar infer red box, basically just to improve the reader to WORK AS IT SHOUL! We need to make a petition y'all! Not a joke!! If anyone would be interested from this forum to pursue a claim, I know the steps to take.

Recieved 42" for xmas 2011 and it went out in July 12 and after reading this I don't believe that this company is still in business with all of the complains. I did the same thing as calling the company and of course you have to spend money to get it fixed and no promises. Don't spend your time on a Colby because it will cost more in the end, spend the extra and get a better tv.

My wife and i purchased a coby 40" lcd flat screen tv in june 2011 and have had problems with the tv not turning on with the remote control and also have some kind of mold growing on the back of the set.We cleaned it and it reappears. Called coby customer service[what a joke] to have this problem looked at and got the run around for 3 months before they would ship it back to their corporate headquarters in New York to look at it. On the day of shipping UPS didnt even want to touch the tv in fear of this mold.Did i tell you it ended up costing me money to ship this defective piece of junk back to them.I then called their so called customer service department to find out how long it will take to get my set back.They were rude and arrogant!I would strongly recomend that anyone looking to buy a tv stay far away from coby,you will be better for it!
